Using world-leading encrypted video technology, you can talk safely with our emergency online dentist who will examine you by looking and listening to your symptoms on the screen.
How do I book an emergency dentist appointment online?
Simply phone our video team on 03301 656 566. Once they book a time slot for you, you will receive a secure link to complete a medical history form and an email with a link to access The 247 Dentist’s online waiting room.
Once you have booked a video dentist consultation, you will receive the following:
- A secure link to complete a medical history form (this is very important for the dentist to give you appropriate advice and care).
- An email containing confirmation of your video consultation time and a link to take you directly to The 247 Dentist’s virtual waiting room. Your video dentist will then let you into the consultation at the appropriate time.
Video Dentist Appointment FAQs
Once you have booked a video dentist consultation, you will receive the following:

- An email containing confirmation of your video consultation time and a link to take you directly to The 247 Dentist virtual waiting room. Your dentist will then let you into the consultation at the appropriate time.

Your video dentist consultation is scheduled to last 20 minutes. To ensure that you get the most out of your consultation, please ensure that you log into the waiting room at least 10 minutes early. This will allow you to hopefully address any issues should you have technology troubles.
Please note that should you have a number of issues to discuss with the dentist you may need to book more than 1 dental consultation.
The cost for an emergency dentist video consultation is £95. This includes the cost of issuing a prescription should this be required (please note that you will still need to pay the pharmacy for the medication on collection).
The video dentist works on a mobile phone, tablet, laptop or desktop. There is no need to download any additional apps or software.
Your emergency dentist will need to be able to see you clearly so please ensure that you have a good internet connection and are sitting in a well-lit area with little background noise. To help the dentist see inside your mouth, it can be helpful to have 2 spoons to retract your cheeks and lips and even the help of a friend to hold your mobile phone.
You will need access to the email address and mobile phone that you provided when you booked your appointment, so that the video dentist can contact you if there are any technical problems with your video link.
If you experience any of the following problems with your online consultation, please email videodentist@the247dentist.com:
- You don’t receive the email with the secure link for completing your medical history
- You don’t receive a link to take you to your video consultation
- You are having technical issues which are preventing you from attending your video consultation
Please remember, our video dentists will use the phone number you provided if they are unable to reach you via the video chat link within the booking email. The phone number will appear as ‘No caller ID’.
