The 247 Dentist provides out-of-hours private emergency cover for Dental Practices. We offer a 24/7 emergency phone line for your patients to contact should any dental problem arise. They will then be offered a video consultation or out-of-hours appointment at one of our out-of-hours emergency clinics.
Our emergency dental clinics have access to a comprehensive array of the best equipment and materials that enables us to provide your patients with the best possible emergency cover until they can contact you during work hours to arrange any required follow-up appointments. Copies of x-rays and clinical notes can be provided on request.

The 247 Dentist is an emergency service and does not provide routine examinations or continuing dental care. Your patients remain your patients and will hopefully be all the happier with the excellent 24/7 dental cover that you can provide them with.
The simple answer is, in most cases, it will cost you absolutely NOTHING!
There is absolutely no fee to pay to use us to provide out-of-hours emergency cover for your ‘pay as you go’ private patients. These patients will pay The 247 Dentist directly for the care received. They will be clearly advised of the costs involved and consented to any treatment provided. Please see the fees section of the website for further information on patient fees.
You may choose to reimburse your patients for some or all of the costs of this treatment depending on the individual circumstances (eg. temporary crown out). Receipts will be provided and treatment plans and clinical notes can be provided depending on the patient’s consents.
We provide emergency cover for a large number of Denplan Practices and those utilising other plans such as DPAS. Our admin team deal with the plan provider to ensure that payment is either made directly by the plan provider or that the patient can recoup any monies paid from their plan provider.
There will likely be a small monthly fee for you to pay for us to provide emergency cover for your Denplan patients. The size of the fee is dependent on the number of plan patients that we would be required to provide emergency cover for. The fee reflects the cap that the plan provider places on out-of-hours emergency appointments which results in us operating at a loss.

NHS patients are welcome to access our service but please make them aware that they will be required to pay privately for our service as we are a fully private service.
